Üçgen

Tipik olarak, gıdı görünümünü azaltmak için alt yüzde sadece az miktarda dolguya ihtiyaç vardır. Bu arada çene yani masseter kasları büyükse (genellikle geceleri diş gıcırdatan kişilerde görülür) botoks tedavisi de alt yüzün incelmesine yardımcı olabilir. Botoks, masseter kasına enjekte edildiğinde, kasın boyutu küçülür. Bu işlem yüzün alt üçte birlik kısmının daha dar olmasına ve genel yüz dengesinin iyileşmesine neden olacaktır. Bir yüzü güzel gösteren şey yüzdeki tüm oranların birbiri ile olan uyumudur. Bu, mükemmel simetri anlamına gelmez, daha ziyade dengeli bir orantı anlamına gelir. Doğal yaşlanma süreci nedeniyle doku ve hacmi ile kemik kütlesi azalır. Bu da yüzdeki uyumunun bozulması anlamına gelebilir.
